Patna, September 25:
Thousands of farmers and agricultural workers demonstrated today in the capital against the anti farmers and anti people policies of the Central and State Governments. The huge rally, under the banner of All India Krishak Khet Mazdoor Sangathan (AIKKMS) started from Gandhi Maidan and reached R Block traversing the main thoroughfares of the city. A mass meeting was held here before submitting 17 points charter of demands to the representative of CM. The charter of demands include: Check sky rocketing price hike, Provide workers the job for the whole year, Provide subsidy to the fertilizers, seeds and diesel, Check rampant corruption in MGNREGA. Stop the mushrooming of liquor shops, especially in rural areas.
The meeting was addressed by Arun Kumar Singh, Senior Member, SUCI (C), Bihar State Committee; Ramadhin Singh, Lalit Kumar Ghosh, Krishnadeo Sah, Indradeo Ray, Kashinath Sahani, All Members, AIKKMS, Bihar State Committee. The meeting was presided over by Shiv Shankar, President, AIKKMS, Bihar State Committee cum Secretary, SUCI (C), Bihar State Committee. It was conducted by Ashok Kumar Singh, Secretary, AIKKMS, Bihar State Committee.
