SUCI (Communist) burns the effigy of PM against allowing FDI in retail market

SUCI(Communist) activists shouted thunderous slogans against allowing 51 percent FDI in retail market by Congress led UPA Govt. and burnt the effigy of PM Manmohan Singh at Patna junction Roundabout.

On this occasion Shiv Shankar, Secretary, SUCI(Communist), Bihar State Committee said that the recent price hike in diesel and cooking gas and then allowing FDI in retail business would left no alternative to die the common people. Referring Nitish Kumar on this issue he said that he was branding hara-kiri and suicidal decision the allowance of 51 percent FDI in retail and steepest hike in diesel price by Central Govt. but did not taking measures to stop its entry in Bihar nor reducing taxes on diesel. Shiv Shankar termed this move of Nitish Kumar as Nautanki.

The speakers while addressing the gathering after burning the effigy said that while lacks of farmers committing suicide in the country, the allowing of FDI in retail would finish their livelihood. The small businessmen will be wiped out due to the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in retail. The rate of unemployment would rise and the condition of common people would worsen certainly as its consequence. The retail prices of commodities would go up. Emphasizing upon the imperative need to build up powerful resistance movement against this out and out anti people move of the central government.

The meeting was addressed by ramadhin Singh, Member, Bihar State Committtee, SUCI (C), Sadhana Mishra, Secretary, Patna District Committee, SUCI (C), Suryakar Jitendra, Rajkumar Chaudhary and Anamika, all Members, Patna District Committee, SUCI (C).
