March expressing solidarity with the struggling people of Afro-Arabian Countries

Patna, 17th March:

The  All India Democratic Youth Organization (AIDYO) took out a Solidarity March here expressing the solidarity with and congratulating the workers-peasants-students-youth and all other sections of the toiling people of Afro-Arabian countries including Egypt, Tunisia and Libya fighting against the police and military of the capitalist rulers of their own countries. The march was taken out from Radio Station and traversing through Fraser Road, Dakbunglo Roundabout reached Patna Junction Roundabout where a street corner meeting was organized.

Addressing the meeting Indradeo Roy, State Convener, AIDYO said the rulers of those countries throttled democracy, trampled one and all democratic rights of people and dragged common people into the dark dungeons of a totally in secured life fraught with poverty, unemployment and miseries of all sorts. Accumulated wrath and ire of the deprived people has given rise to this massive spontaneous peoples’ revolt. “This courageous people’s struggle sent a strong and distinct note of inspiration to oppressed common toiling people of the different countries, added Anil Kumar Chand, Convener, Patna district organizing Committee, AIDYO. Those who spoke on the occasion were Rameshwar Roy, Shashi and Parikshit Raj. Extending their full support and solidarity to the fighting people of those countries, the speakers  appealed the youths in particular and the common people in general of India to built up mighty mass movement against price hike, unemployment, obscenity and other burning problems of their lives.

On International Women Day: Seminar on ‘Atrocities on Women and the Law’

Patna, 8th March:

Under the auspices of All India Mahila Sanskritik Sangthan a seminar on ‘Atrocities on Women and the Law’ was held here at IMA Hall on the occasion of International Women Day. Addressing the seminar Senior Advocate of Patna High Court Anjana Bhagat said, ‘’ In spite of many laws in fevour of women the crimes on the women, especially the domestic violence is on increase. They are still victims of dowry harassment, sexual and mental exploitation on work place. Female feticide is going as usual. Victims have to face awkward questions in courts. They also suffer because of the time-taking legal procedures. Women should come out in support of of other women is crisis.” Prof. Daisy Narain, teacher Patna University said: “Hardly any improvement in the condition of women has been witnessed under different governments. Though punishments have become more rigorous, the rate of convictions has dropped. The ground reality has not changed much.” Addressing the seminar Shyamali Mukherjee, All India leader, AIMSS, said: Our organization is fighting for equal right of women and safeguard of their dignity. Still to day women are victims of on the one hand cruel capitalist exploitation and male dominated society on the other. Women have to snatch their rights as it will not be got in begging. They have to point out the problems and form committees comprising the women of different strata. The seminar was also addressed by Indira Laxmi, advocate, Patna High Court, Dr. Meera Dutta and others. The seminar was presided over by Sadhan Mishra, State Secretary, AIMSS and conducted by Anamika.

Demonstration of Students, Youths and Women before CM of Bihar

A huge demonstration was here before the Chief Minister against sex education in schools, price-hike, unemployment, obscenity and asbestos plant on agricultural land under the auspices of All India Democratic Students’ Organization (AIDSO), the All India Democratic Youth Organization (AIDYO) and the All India Mahila Sanskritik Sangathan (AIMSS). The well decorated precession of students, youths and women coming from different districts of the state started from Gandhi Maidan. Traversing the main thoroughfares of the capital the processionists shouting thunderous slogans in favour of their demands reached R-Bloc, where the procession was stopped by the police. The procession conversed as a mass meeting. The meeting was addressed by Arun Kumar Singh, Senior State Committee Member, SUCI (Communist), Deepak Kumar, Vice President, AIDYO, Shyamali Mukherjee, All India leader of AIMSS, Suryakar Jitendra, State Secretary, AIDSO, Indradeo Roy, State Convener, AIDYO, Sadhana Mishra , State Secretary, AIMSS and others. Addressing the gathering the speakers said lakhs of youths are unemployed. Education is in worse condition. Government -whether state or central-is shrinking its responsibility to provide education and job for its citizens. People’s discontent is growing and it is surfacing here and there in the form of protests. In order to make people inhuman and to break its morale the government is going to introduce sex education in the school level. The government is allowing the owners to set up hazardous asbestos factories in densely populated areas on fertile agricultural land whereas thousands of factories are still closed in the state. They urged the people to intensify the struggle on the burning problems of their live. Later a memorandum having six point charter of demand was submitted to the office of CM.

They burnt effigies of the US President Barak Obama and David Camaron, PM of UK as the chieftain of imperialists and their heinous attempt to interfere in the internal affairs of those countries at Bhagat Singh Chowk. After burning the effigies a street corner meeting was organized which was addressed by Sadhan Mishra, State Secretary, AIMSS, Indradeo Roy, State Convener, AIDYO and Suryakar Jitendra, State Secretary, AIDSO. The leaders said the rulers of those countries throttled democracy, trampled one and all democratic rights of people and dragged common people into the dark dungeons of a totally in secured life fraught with poverty, unemployment and miseries of all sorts. Protest of setting up asbestos factory in Vaishali

People are protesting against setting up asbestos factory at Panapur

under Goraul bloc of Vaishali Distt. in Bihar

An another asbestos factory is being set up at Panapur under Goraul bloc of Vaishali Distt. in Bihar. It is being constructed on fertile land in populated area. The people are protesting it. They have formed Khet Bachao Jiwan Bachao Jan Sangharsha Committee.They organised a demonstration and protest meeting on 19th February 2011 and submitted a memorendum to the SDO of Mahua demanding stopping the construction of the deadly factory.The protest meeting was addressed by Prof. Awadhesh Kumar, BRA Bihar University, Ajit Kumar Singh, Convenor, Khet Bachao Jiwan Bachao Jan Sangharsha Committee, Ram Pukar Roy, Coconvenor, Khet Bachao Jiwan Bachao Jan Sangharsha Committee, Indradeo Roy, State Committee Member, SUCI (Communist), Lalit Kumar Ghosh, Vaishali Distt. Secretary, SUCI (Communist), Braj Bhushan Vidyarthi, CPI and others. They warned the government to intensify the movement if their demands were not fulfillef.
