Mass meeting on 64th anniversary of SUCI (Communist)

Patna:

The 64th anniversary of SUCI (Communist) was observed in Bihar in a befitting manner. On 24th April red flag was hoisted at state headquarters in Patna and other district offices. The state level foundation day programme was held on 28th April as a mass meeting at IMA Hall in Patna. The august gathering of party members and supporters from different corners of the state packed up the hall. The meeting started after singing the song on Comrade Shibdas Ghosh, great leader of proletariat and on 24th April.

Addressing the meeting Krishna Chakraborty, Member, Polit Bureau, SUCI (Communist) said, “Communist party is the organization of communists. The struggle for becoming a communist is the struggle for fighting out the old outlooks, old thinking brought by birth and the struggle for acquiring the outlook of dialectical materialism. Individualism is the base of the bourgeois culture reflected by many in a bourgeois society. One has to wage struggle to acquire the culture of proletarian class, the collectivism fighting with individualism. No one become a communist without waging the struggle for acquiring dialectical materialism and proletarian culture. Enriching the teachings of Comrade Lenin Comrade Shibdas Ghosh showed this is the basic struggle of a party formation. Those who got organized for building a party, they have to conduct the struggle covering all aspects of life. Along with this formation of a band of professional revolutionaries is a necessary condition for this. The development of the band of professional revolutionaries is not take place evenly. The most developed person within a band of professional revolutionary, whom everyone accepts as his leader, gives birth to collective leadership.”

Quoting Com. Shibdas Ghosh, the great Marxist thinker, philosopher and founder General Secretary of the party Krishan Chakraborty said that there were many honest, sincere and struggling personalities in undivided CPI. In spite of that they could not form a communist party and Com. Shibdas Ghosh and his comrades in arms had to wage relentless struggle to form a communist party. “A party organized well and imbued with communist thinking and culture does not mean it can not be degraded. If the leaders and cadres do not take the struggle to higher forms keeping tune with the changing situation the party may be degraded. The foundation day is the day for recollecting the struggles for building the party and giving it to a new shape. So we have to initiate a struggle for taking the party to a greater height,” said Chakraborty.

Krishna Chakraborty further said, “To have love to masses, to stay amongst the masses and to be a friend of their sorrow and happiness and build up movements against the burning problems of their lives is also a necessary condition for acquiring communist character. In this way we have to conduct the struggle for capturing power organizing the masses one day.” The Polit Bureau member said that SUCI (Communist) was continuously waging struggle against the problems of people’s life from its very inception. The party was developing mass movements against people’s problems throughout the country. Party had organized a huge demonstration on Parliament on March 14. Crores of signatures were collected in support of the movement. “Mass movement is the need of the hour. Central and state governments are taking anti people steps one after another,” he said.

Speaking on Bihar he said that one the one hand CM Nitish Kumar was making hue and cry of developments and lakhs of workers from Bihar were wondering this state to that state in search of job on the other. He asked Nitish to tell how many industries were installed in his six years tenure in Bihar. “The recent judgment of High Court on Bathani Tola massacre and deprivation of the sufferers from justice ridicules the state government’s claim of development with justice,” he said. He said that the problems of unemployment, price rise, and problems of peasants, cultural and educational problems had been even before the independence. Those were increased manifold after the advent of the policy of globalization, liberalization and privatization. Terming Nitish Kumar the arch follower of globalization, liberalization and privatization he said that Nitish Kumar was introducing those very anti people policies in the state of Bihar. Whatever was being done in the name of development in the state that was for the development of the capitalists. “There is an urgent need for struggle against these anti people pro capitalist steps and we cannot get ride of these without destroying capitalism,’’ he said.

The meeting was presided over by Shiv Shankar, Secretary, Bihar State Committee, SUCI (Communist). The meeting was ended with Internationale.
