Citizens’ March in Patna for establishing peace and harmony in Assam


Patna, August 23:

A Citizens’ March was held here on Thursday for establishing peace and harmony in Assam and against the ongoing conspiracy for disturbing communal harmony in the country. The march started from Radio Station and traversing Fraser Road, Dakbunglow went to Patna Junction Roundabout. The march conversed into a meeting at Patna Junction Roundabout. The march was led and addressed at Patna Junction Roundabout by Prof. Santosh Kumar, Prof. Vinay Kumar Kanth, Prof. M. N. Karna, Harsha Mander from Aman Biradri, Cultural Activists Estiyak, Vinod Kumar and Anish Ankur and Social Activist Rupesh.. Addressing the meeting Arun Kumar Singh, Senior State Committee Member, SUCI (Communist) said that the common people of the country were suffering from acute price rise and other burning problems. They were searching the way out and for that purpose they were getting organized. Fearing the ruling class of the country wanted to break the unity of the toiling people and communal tension were spreading. “The common people and particularly the intelligentsia should be conscious about the conspiracies hazed by the ruling class.” Said Sri Singh. Among others who address the gathering were Krishna Murari, Jan Mukti Sangharsha Vahini, Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, MCPI (U), Partha Sarkar, Communist Centre of India and Nand Kishore Singh, CPI(ML). All the speakers appealed the people to maintain their unity at any cost in order to maintain communal harmony.
